Continuous CASP Model Refinement Experiment
This is an update on the progress of the CASPR experiment, which started on January 31, 2006. At this moment we have 12 prediction groups registered for the CASPR experiment and a few more that have expressed interest and are also working on refinement of the targets.
We received feedback from registered participants, asking for more targets to refine (in particular, a few more monomers). To meet these requests, we are adding 3 more targets (two from CASP6 and one from CASP5) to the experiment (details at the website).
Again, we encourage discussion on FORCASP of all aspects of this experiment - potential new methods, criticism of existing methods, suggestions for improving the experiment, analysis of the results once they become available.
