METHOD PSI-BLAST was used to identify homologous proteins in the PDB.
METHOD With the target sequence (105 aa) no significant hit was found. 
METHOD With the full sequence of ERp29 (260 aa of which the target is 
METHOD residues 156-260), hits to calsequestrin and protein disulfide
METHOD isomerase were found for both the N and C-terminal domains
METHOD of ERp29. It is possible that the extension of the alignment
METHOD into the C-terminal domain is not a true homologous relationship,
METHOD but alignments to 1BJX and 1A8Y produced very similar models,
METHOD even though these proteins are distantly related. The secondary
METHOD structure predictions were ambiguous, with mostly helical
METHOD predictions, but depending on what sequences are included
METHOD in the PSI-BLAST matrix, PSIpred predicts some sheet
METHOD strands in the correct places for the thioredoxin like
METHOD PDI domain. Threader also produced an alignment to 1A8Y.
