METHOD libraries.  PDB files generated with MODELLER4 (A. Sali and
METHOD T.L. Blundell, 1993).  Structures scored with PROVAL scoring function
METHOD (R. Head, unpublished).  Top 50 structures used to generate consensus
METHOD threaded secondary structure.  Secondary structure also predicted by
METHOD weighted consensus of PHD (Rost and Sander, 1993), Predator (Frishman
METHOD and Argos, 1996), SOPMA (Geourjon and Deleage, 1995), MLRC (Guermeur
METHOD et al., 1999), and PSIPRED (D.T. Jones, 1999), with different weights
METHOD used for helix and sheet.  Top 50 structures compared to secondary
METHOD structure predictions, and only those roughly matching the predictions
METHOD were kept.  Remaining structures were manually inspected and the best
METHOD candidates set aside.  Finalists were cleaned up via CA trace -> all
METHOD atom backbone reconstruction (E. Welsh, unpublished) to enforce ideal
METHOD geometries and remove bad regions of phi,psi space.  Sidechain atoms
METHOD beyond the beta carbon were omitted and no minimization was performed.
