METHOD  
METHOD Prediction was made with the stochastic perturbation potential energy 
METHOD minimization algorithm described in [1,2]. This was used to minimize an 
METHOD objective function consisting of the AMBER potential energy plus terms 
METHOD approximating solvation energy plus "biassing" terms that steer 
METHOD the minimization towards predicted secondary structure.
METHOD Predictions of secondary structure were made using the program JPRED[3].
METHOD Additionally, preliminary evaluations of the likelihood
METHOD of specific beta-sheets were made using the scoring function described 
METHOD in [4]. However for this model our selection from among possible 
METHOD secondary structure predictions was influenced by the known structure 
METHOD 1A0N which is homologous to target 99.
