METHOD  Related sequences of known structures were found using a BLAST  
METHOD  search against the PDB database. 1MUP was chosen as the template  
METHOD  structure with no insertions/deletions in the alignment.

METHOD  Initial model was prepared by replacing side chains of the  
METHOD  template with those of target. Positions of the backbone atoms

METHOD  possible. C-terminal residue for which structural alignment 
METHOD  was not available was built de novo. After the coordinates were 
METHOD  assigned to the target sequence, rotamers were rebuilt using 
METHOD  InsightII and SCWRL backbone dependent rotamer library [1].  
METHOD  To preserve conserved contacts and avoid steric clashes 
METHOD  selection of rotamers was made by visual inspection and some 
METHOD  rotamers were modelled manually.

METHOD  Final model was subjected to a series of energy minimization steps 
METHOD  (100) with the Discover module of InsightII to remove remaining 
METHOD  steric clashes. All energy optimizations were performed using 
METHOD  steepest descent and conjugate gradient methods in the Amber 
METHOD  forcefield with a distance dependent dielectric constant of 4r. 
METHOD  The 1-4 nonbonded interactions were scaled by a factor of 0.5.
