METHOD The target sequence exhibits a internal duplication.  
METHOD The corresponding halves (1-50; N half, 51-101; C half)   
METHOD and their repetitions (e.g., sequence made by N half plus   
METHOD N half) as well as T0052 sequence itself were threaded on   
METHOD the structural library constructed from rel.83 of PDB. We assume   
METHOD the answer structure keep the structural symmetry and   
METHOD its disulfide bonds. The results of secondary structure   
METHOD predictions (N half; beta-rich, C half; alpha-rich) did not   
METHOD coincide with our hypothesis, thus we neglected them and considered   
METHOD the fold may be either alpha-rich or beta-rich. The results of the   
METHOD threading were not significant in many cases (also in the   
METHOD inverse folding search), so we think the target's fold may   
METHOD be a new one or very difficult to detect. Yet among the   
METHOD structures having rather high compatibility scores, some   
METHOD structures meet the constraints of the structural symmetry   
METHOD and disulfide bonds. One of them is a DNA-binding protein   
METHOD (TATA-binding protein) consisting of two identical domains.   
METHOD Its monomeric structure is thin and probably unstable   
METHOD (T0052 is supposed to be monomeric, as reported   
METHOD in BBRC paper), so we synthesize the chimerical structure   
METHOD from the interacting domains of its dimeric structures.   
METHOD The structure is a kind of beta-sandwitches.
