METHOD 1. Build sequence family for T0081 using fasta3 and with cut-off 0.01.

METHOD    There is no direct functional relationship between the two proteins. 
METHOD    Based on the reference (Saadat D & Harrison DH, Biochemistry, 
METHOD    14:10074-10086, 1998), the reaction mechanism of methylglyoxal 
METHOD    synthase is similar to triosephosphate isomerase. While 3pmg is 
METHOD    a phosphoglucomutase, which is also a isomerase related to phosphate 
METHOD    group, so there exists the possibility that they could have some sort  
METHOD    of remote relation.

METHOD 5. Model was built using CLUSTAL based on the profile alignment 
METHOD    between the two families.

METHOD    There are 7 conserved residues matched between the two families. 
METHOD    Also the active site residues, ASP71 and ASP101 happened to be  
METHOD    together in space. But the other two functionally 
METHOD    important residues, ASP21 and ASP91, only have one of them close to
