METHOD    The following steps were used  to generate the model.
METHOD    STEP 1. Ab initio prediction of supersecondary 'nucleus'
METHOD (Protein Sci., v. 8, Suppl.1, p.86) of the target protein
METHOD using two methods: (a) calculation of thermodynamic
METHOD stabilities of alpha-helices, alpha-hairpins, and beta-sheets
METHOD in hydrophobically collapsed protein using program Framework
METHOD (currently under development, Biopolymers, v.42, pp. 239-269),
METHOD and (b) qualitative analysis of hydrophobicity and propensity
METHOD patterns in sequence alignments (Proteins, Suppl.3, pp.199-203).
METHOD    STEP 2. Modeling 3D structure of the target using a related
METHOD PDB entry as a template.  The modeling includes side-chain packing
METHOD and spatial rearrangement of alpha-helices and beta-sheets.
