METHOD   Predictions are based on the discovery of superfamily specific

METHOD   In addition Pfam sequence families are used to give clues as to
METHOD   possible structural superfamilies to investigate.
METHOD
METHOD   T0095 specific information: T0095 is a middle fragment of large 
METHOD   protein. There are known structures of the non-overlapping N-terminal 
METHOD   fragment of the same protein, alpha-catenin (1dow) and the C-terminal 
METHOD   fragment of its homologue vinculin (1qkr). The folds of both fragnents
METHOD   contain four-helical up-and-down bundles of the same topology. There 
METHOD   were at least six predicted long helices in the target secondary 
METHOD   structure suggesting that T0095 also may contain this fold. To explore 
METHOD   this possibility we modelled the first four helices into this fold and 
METHOD   found a good sequence-structure compatibily. However, we do not rule 
METHOD   out that the up-and-down bundle could be formed by a different set of 
METHOD   the predicted helices. The reminder  may wrap around this bundle, like 
METHOD   1qkr, of it may form a separate subdomain, like 1dow.
