METHOD I identified the fold with 3D-pssm and FUGUE.

METHOD The identified templates are 1dooe_E and 1a5t. The structures were aligned 
METHOD with COMPARER and the consensus secondary structure used to make a 
METHOD secondary structure template for CLUSTALX. 
METHOD The structures show a similar
METHOD fold for the amino acid positions 2-102 and 243-330 (1doo_E) and 1-162 for
METHOD 1a5t. The sequence identities with the target are 13.9 % and 14.9 % for 
METHOD 1doo_E and 1a5t, respectively concerning the structural conserved regions.

METHOD I used CLUSTLX to align the target to multiple sequences, including the 
METHOD sequences of the template structures 1doo_E and 1a5t and the secondary
METHOD structure assignment. 1doo_E was choosed as template because of the
METHOD longer region of stuctural overlap with the target and the higher 
METHOD score on the fold recognition programs 3D-pssm and FUGUE.

METHOD The multiple alignment was corrected by hand and visualised with JOY 
METHOD to get rid of insertions in alpha helical regions of the template 
METHOD structure.
